It's time once again to start planning for this huge summer event. SPF (Southern Plains Festival) is an annual wakeboarding festival, where people from all over the region can get together to meet and greet other boarders that share their same obsession.

Last years event was held at Lake Eufaula in eastern Oklahoma. Lake Eufaula is a huge resort lake with tons of great coves, and plenty of glass to ride on. Steve Smith wrote, "I had no idea lake Eufaula was so gigantic. I drove alongside it for 20 miles coming in and saw coves galore. There was no reason for crowded riding."

We had people from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. I would like to thank all of the sponsors from last year. It would not have been possible without them. SPF 2000 promises to be even bigger than last year. The highlight of the event will definitely be the "Ride with a Pro Contest" being put on by WAKEtv. This is definitely going to bring in the crowds! Yes that means that WAKEtv will be there so start working on your biggest moves and maybe you will get into an issue and be famous. Also, we are going to set up a few sliders, so everyone can give them a try.

There will be houseboat rentals, camping and RV sites available. Yes, there will be a contest, format to be announced, and a huge bonfire/party on Saturday night to bring it all together. The web address for the event is http://www.waketv.com.
